Yes - we reserve the right to refuse service if we cannot prove that you are 18+ for your tattoo appointment.
Piercings are available from age 16+ with valid identification, or 14+ with own parent or guardian present. Some piercings such as nipple, tongue, naval and surface/micro dermal are restricted to individuals who are 18+ and proof of valid identification is required.
If your name or pronouns differ from your ID, please let us know as soon as you can to ensure that we can accommodate you in a respectful manner and ensure that you are comfortable during your appointment. If you have a second form of identification, please bring this along if you are unsure or worried.
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, LGBTQIA+ environment, so if you have any concerns, please let one of the team know and we'll be happy to help!
We ask that you come alone if possible, but if you do need moral support please only bring one guest with you – no children or pets please!
You will receive instructions upon leaving your appointment, and we also have a guide on the website you can look through.
We sell aftercare by Ink Doctor - we have large tubs of 150g, small pots of 50g and antibacterial foam cleanser. Ask in the studio for availability and prices.
Please ensure that you are hydrated and have eaten a substantial meal 1-2 hours before your appointment and try not to drink alcohol the night before your appointment. Being tattooed with a hangover is never any fun!
We reserve the right to refuse service to those we believe to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If this is the case, your deposit will not be refunded.
Gently exfoliating the area is helpful, but you don't need to shave it. Wear comfortable clothing that can expose the area (eg, bring a zip up hoodie to wear backwards if getting a back tattoo) or baggy trousers for a calf.
make sure you have in mind where you want your tattoo. If you have a few options that's fine, but coming in with no idea means We will be winging it and not thinking it through, possibly resulting in regrets. We can try stencils out in different places but spending all day doing so is costly.
We ask for as much notice as possible so that we can offer your appointment to other clients but understand that sometimes this is not possible and emergencies do arise.
We ask that you inform us at least 3 days before your appointment so that we can reschedule – cancellations made after this time will forfeit your deposit and a new deposit will be required before rebooking at your artist's discretion. If we have made a design for you, you will also forfeit your deposit. Please see appointment information at the bottom of the menu for more info.
If you want to! Paracetamol and Ibuprofen can work for some but we advise that you don't take aspirin as this thins the blood and can cause excessive bleeding during your tattoo, which will affect the overall quality of your tattoo and healing process.
Numbing cream does not always work, and it doesn't tend to last very long so it is up to you whether you wish to apply some numbing cream before your appointment. Please note we Are not allowed to supply or use the numbing cream ourselves as we are not a pharmacy. Using it is at your own risk and discretion. Ask at a pharmacy if worried, and people with heat problems should be particularly cautious. It should be applied 1-1.5 hours (no longer) before the appointment in a thick layer and wrapped in cling film.
Please be aware that painkillers and numbing cream will wear off and can make you more sensitive to pain. It is your decision whether you use these products - if you are planning to apply numbing cream or take painkillers, please let us know so that we can do our best to accommodate you.
